Divar Island Goa


Divar Island is rarely visited beautiful is on the Mandovi River from Old Goa. A ferry connects the southern tip of the island of Old Goa. The ferry dock is near the Viceroy's Arch at Old Goa. another ferry connects the north end of the island of Divar or town of Narva in subdivision Naroa Bicholim is famous for the temple Saptkoteshwar is one of the holiest shrines of the Hindus of Goa. The island of Divar is also well known in Goa, because of a festival held here known as the festival Bonderam. The people observe this festival the last Saturday of August. This festival is also known as the harvest festival or the festival of flags. Here you go home after the wave of migrant workers in the flags of their countries of adoption as they marched through the town.
